Abstract Spaceflight induces altered physiology that has the potential to alter medication pharmacokinetics due to factors including gastrointestinal motility, fluid balance, circulatory dynamics, hormonal changes, and metabolic alterations. ABSTRACT Rationale Pollution of surface and shallow groundwater by nitrate (NO3−$$ {\mathrm{NO}}_3^{-} $$) is a global concern, resulting in the deterioration of drinking water quality. Stable isotopes of NO3−$$ {\mathrm{NO}}_3^{-} $$ (δ15N and δ18O) can be used to trace its sources and identify prevailing biogeochemical processes.
