Prediction of missile trajectory

1995 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man and Cybernetics. Intelligent Systems for the 21st Century, 2002
This study concerns the survivability of an airship that is under attack by a missile. The pilot may employ an appropriate manoeuvre or countermeasure at the right moment to escape from the attack. Real-time prediction of the missile trajectory will help prepare the pilot to take action at the right moment to survive.

Aircraft Trajectory Prediction Made Easy with Predictive Analytics

Proceedings of the 22nd ACM SIGKDD International Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining, 2016
At the heart of Air Traffic Management (ATM) lies the Decision Support Systems (DST) that rely upon accurate trajectory prediction to determine how the airspace will look like in the future to make better decisions and advisories. Dealing with airspace that is prone to congestion due to environmental factors still remains the challenge especially when ...

A Frenet-based algorithm for trajectory prediction

Atmospheric Flight Mechanics Conference, 2000
An algorithm for aircraft trajectory prediction is presented, that is based on a third-order accurate algebraic expansion of the aircraft center of gravity (e.g.) trajectory in the Frenet frame. This technique allows for an efficient evaluation of future e.g.

Predicting Pedestrian Trajectories

2011
Pedestrians do not walk randomly. While they move toward their desired destination, they avoid static obstacles and other pedestrians. At the same time they try not to slow down too much as well as not to speed up excessively. Studies coming from the field of social psychology show that pedestrians exhibit common behavioral patterns.

Market Trajectory Recognition and Trajectory Prediction Using Markov Models

2010
We analyze a time series data set from a financial market. The set contains over sixty thousand OHLC candles of EUR/USD currency pair collected once every hour during the period of ten consecutive years. We build Markov models for this data and consider two approaches of analysis respectively for: trajectory recognition and trajectory prediction.
