KRAS and GNAS mutations in cell‐free DNA and in circulating epithelial cells in patients with intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms—an observational pilot study

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that KRAS and GNAS mutations are more prevalent in patients with resected intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMN) compared to those under clinical surveillance. GNAS mutations significantly differ between the two patient cohorts, indicating that their absence may serve as a potential biomarker to support conservative ...

Price impact equilibrium with transaction costs and TWAP trading [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
We prove the existence of an equilibrium in a model with transaction costs and price impact where two agents are incentivized to trade towards a target. The two types of frictions -- price impact and transaction costs -- lead the agents to two distinct changes in their optimal investment approach: price impact causes agents to continuously trade in ...

Cellular liquid biopsy provides unique chances for disease monitoring, preclinical model generation and therapy adjustment in rare salivary gland cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We quantified and cultured circulating tumor cells (CTCs) of 62 patients with various cancer types and generated CTC‐derived tumoroid models from two salivary gland cancer patients. Cellular liquid biopsy‐derived information enabled molecular genetic assessment of systemic disease heterogeneity and functional testing for therapy selection in both ...

On sparsity of eigenportfolios to reduce transaction cost [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Capital Markets Studies, 2019
Purpose – Transaction cost becomes significant when one holds many securities in a large portfolio where capital allocations are frequently rebalanced due to variations in non-stationary statistical characteristics of the asset returns.

Existence of a Radner equilibrium in a model with transaction costs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We prove the existence of a Radner equilibrium in a model with proportional transaction costs on an infinite time horizon and analyze the effect of transaction costs on the endogenously determined interest rate. Two agents receive exogenous, unspanned income and choose between consumption and investing into an annuity.

Optimal Investment and Consumption Strategies with General and Linear Transaction Costs under CRRA Utility [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
Transaction costs play a critical role in asset allocation and consumption strategies in portfolio management. We apply the methods of dynamic programming and singular perturbation expansion to derive the closed-form leading solutions to this problem for small transaction costs with arbitrary transaction cost structure by maximizing the expected CRRA ...

Transaction Costs and Value Premium [PDF]

open access: yesSSRN Electronic Journal, 2007
Growth Stocks).

Chemoresistome mapping in individual breast cancer patients unravels diversity in dynamic transcriptional adaptation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study used longitudinal transcriptomics and gene‐pattern classification to uncover patient‐specific mechanisms of chemotherapy resistance in breast cancer. Findings reveal preexisting drug‐tolerant states in primary tumors and diverse gene rewiring patterns across patients, converging on a few dysregulated functional modules. Despite receiving the

Landscape of BRAF transcript variants in human cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We investigate the annotation of BRAF variants, focusing on protein‐coding BRAF‐220 (formerly BRAF‐reference) and BRAF‐204 (BRAF‐X1). The IsoWorm pipeline allows us to quantify these variants in human cancer, starting from RNA‐sequencing data. BRAF‐204 is more abundant than BRAF‐220 and impacts patient survival.

White Christian Nationalism in the Rural United States

open access: yesNew Directions for Adult and Continuing Education, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Many scholars have sought to link the rise of right‐wing populist movements, like White Christian Nationalism (WCN), to the impacts of political‐economic structural changes, such as globalization and financialization. Although these structural changes may explain some grievances, they do not explain why people express those grievances in the ...
