Automatic design of transparent standard cells with TRANSCAD II

Methods for the automatic generation of transparent standard cells are presented. A heuristic algorithm for transistor chaining is developed and implemented. Through the use of transparent cells, exclusive routing channels can be avoided and the over cell area can also be used as routing area.
