Evaluating Impacts of Public Transit and Automobiles During Connected and Automated Vehicle Adoption
The adoption of connected and automated vehicles (CAVs) and automated vehicles (AVs) is expected to improve overall travel efficiency in traffic networks. However, this improvement may vary across multimodal road traffic, influencing the equity of travel experiences among different income groups. This study evaluates the equity effects of AV deployment

A literature review indicates that freight demand models (FDMs) covering a large region and multiple categories of commodities and transport modes based on an integrated modeling approach are rare. Compared with traditional models, such models have a much higher utility in decision‐making support for long‐term planning of regional transport and other ...

As one of the effective methods to reduce congestion, grade intersection has already been changed to interchange in port collecting and distributing network (PCDN) of many Chinese ports, since the first interchange was built in the PCDN of Dalian port in 1924. Due to the growing demand for port freight transportation, congestion in PCDN is becoming one

To appropriately incorporate the geographical distribution and time‐variant patterns of EV charging demand, a comprehensive spatio‐temporal (ST) model is developed to capture the trip distance, EV arrival, and charging time. The correlation between the PV generation and EV charging demand is effectively captured by copula theory.

Bilevel Traffic Evacuation Model and Algorithm Design for Large‐Scale Activities
This paper establishes a bilevel planning model with one master and multiple slaves to solve traffic evacuation problems. The minimum evacuation network saturation and shortest evacuation time are used as the objective functions for the upper‐ and lower‐level models, respectively. The optimizing conditions of this model are also analyzed.
