Echocardiography in transcatheter aortic valve implantation
Transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) is a novel therapeutic option, recommended for the treatment of patients with severe aortic stenosis who are at high risk from conventional open surgery. Multiple registries have documented favorable outcomes, including survival and quality of life. Success of TAVI depends upon the consideration of patient

ABSTRACT Stent‐related dissection is a well‐recognized complication of endovascular intervention. However, acute arterial occlusion resulting from stent‐induced intimal flap displacement at a major bifurcation is rare and carries a high risk of limb‐threatening ischemia.

Emergency transcatheter aortic valve implantation for decompensated aortic stenosis
We report the case of an 84-year-old male presenting with syncope and dynamic ST-T wave changes due to decompensated severe valvular aortic stenosis undergoing successful emergency transcatheter aortic valve ...

Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation Bailout for Severe Aortic Insufficiency due to Aortic Root Dissection Following Ascending Aortic Aneurysm Repair [PDF]
This novel case documents the successful use of transcatheter aortic valve implantation to treat severe aortic insufficiency arising from aortic root dissection following the repair of an ascending aortic aneurysm in a 75-year-old female patient.

Patients aged ≥ 80 years with atrial fibrillation underwent catheter ablation. At 2 years, the recurrence‐free survival rate was 85.8% in paroxysmal AF and 63.6% in persistent AF (p = 0.024), and periprocedural complications occurred in 12.0%, including severe complications in 3.3%.

Transapical valve-in-valve implantation for regurgitant stented aortic bioprostheses
Transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) is rapidly evolving as an alternative treatment option for elderly patients with severe symptomatic aortic stenosis and excessive risk for surgical intervention.

In this two‐center propensity score–weighted cohort of de novo CRT recipients, left bundle branch area pacing was associated with comparable resynchronization and clinical outcomes to biventricular pacing, with fewer late device‐related complications. ABSTRACT Background Left bundle branch area pacing (LBBAP) has emerged as a promising alternative to ...
