Transcatheter Coil Embolization of Splenic Artery Aneurysm
CardioVascular and Interventional Radiology, 2007The purpose of this study was to evaluate clinical results and technical problems of transcatheter coil embolization for splenic artery aneurysm. Subjects were 16 patients (8 men, 8 women; age range, 40-80 years) who underwent transcatheter embolization for splenic artery aneurysm (14 true aneurysms, 2 false aneurysms) at one of our hospitals during ...

Transcatheter arterial embolization in normal canine liver
Veterinary Surgery, 2017AbstractObjectiveTo determine the effects of selective transcatheter arterial embolization (TAE) in the normal canine liver.Study designExperimental study.AnimalsAdult Beagle dogs (n = 5).MethodsGelatin sponge particles (GSPs) were injected through a microcatheter for selective embolization of the left hepatic artery in normal dogs. Vertebral artery trauma: transcatheter embolization.
AJNR. American journal of neuroradiology, 1987Injuries of the vertebral arteries in four patients were treated by transcatheter embolization. Embolotherapy was performed after incomplete or unsuccessful surgery in three of the patients and as a preventive measure in lieu of surgery in the fourth patient. All procedures were successful and without complications.

Transcatheter embolization of intrahepatic arterial aneurysms.
Radiology, 1980Four patients with intrahepatic arterial aneurysms were treated with transcatheter embolization. Two patients had multiple aneurysms, and two had single aneurysms; in two the aneurysms were post-traumatic, and in the other two they were mycotic. Either Gelfoam or isobutyl-2-cyanocrylate was used to occlude the hepatic artery branches.

Twenty patients with unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma were treated by zinostatin stimalamer-transcatheter arterial embolization (SMANCS-TAE). After administration of SMANCS, a superselective catheterization technique was used to inject gelatin sponge particles into the artery or artery branch supplying the cancer-bearing segment.

[Transcatheter arterial embolization for postpartum hemorrhage].
Rinsho hoshasen. Clinical radiography, 1990A case of postpartum hemorrhage controlled by transcatheter arterial embolization is reported. The determination of the exact location of the bleeding vessel in postpartum hemorrhage may be difficult using angiography. Selective embolization is effective but the selection of the artery to embolize (internal iliac versus uterine artery) is still ...
