Could Edible Photonic Structures Be an Alternative to Traditional Food Coloring?
What if color in food came from photonic structures? This perspective introduces structural color as a potential next‐generation solution to replace conventional colorants in foods. It discusses edible photonic materials, their unique benefits, and the technological, safety, and consumer acceptance challenges that must be addressed to bring this ...

Circularly Polarized Structural Color Pigments Tunable Across the Full Visible Spectrum
By infusing black dye into spherical shells of polymerized cholesteric liquid crystal, blue, green and red omnidirectional retroreflectors of circularly polarized structural color are achieved. They can be laid out on arbitrary surfaces without any need for index matching binder to define graphical information for robots and Augmented Reality devices ...

This review highlights recent advances in accelerating luminescence in nanostructures through cooperative emission, resonator coupling, and nonlocal light–matter interactions. By unifying concepts such as excitonic superradiance, superfluorescence, and the plasmonic Purcell effect, it reveals physical limits of ultrafast emission and their potential ...

“None Come Closer to Us than These:” Augustine and the Platonists
This paper reflects on the importance of pagan Platonism to one of its most sympathetic Christian interpreters, Augustine of Hippo. Its goal is to uncover what Platonism meant to Augustine and why it mattered so much to him throughout his long career. To

Transcendence measures and algebraic growth of entire functions [PDF]
In this paper we obtain estimates for certain transcendence measures of an entire function $f$. Using these estimates, we prove Bernstein, doubling and Markov inequalities for a polynomial $P(z,w)$ in ${\Bbb C}^2$ along the graph of $f$.

On the Maillet--Baker continued fractions [PDF]
We use the Schmidt Subspace Theorem to establish the transcendence of a class of quasi-periodic continued fractions. This improves earlier works of Maillet and of A. Baker.
