Evolution of Production Specialization and Factor Accumulation in Sub‐Saharan and North Africa

open access: yesReview of Development Economics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Despite trade liberalization and regional economic integration policies, the level of trade and specialization in Africa is stagnating. This long‐term observation contrasts with recent developments in Africa since the 2000s. This study aims to assess how changes in factor endowments affect the specialization pattern of production, exploring ...

The Leibnizian foundations of the eighteenth‐century debate on the justification of principles: The problem of the meaning of metaphysics

open access: yesThe Southern Journal of Philosophy, EarlyView.
Abstract The reception of Leibniz encompasses a wide range of authors influenced by his work, such as Wolff, Crusius, and Kant. In this article, I will address the problem of the reception of Leibniz's theory of principles in the context of the debate that arose during the eighteenth century about the meaning and purpose of metaphysics.

Re‐spiritualising geographies of subjectivity through Daoism

open access: yesTransactions of the Institute of British Geographers, EarlyView.

It invokes a cosmological selfhood through re‐spiritualising the bodily geographies of subjectivity.

Finite models for positive combinatorial and exponential algebra

open access: yesBulletin of the London Mathematical Society, EarlyView.
Abstract We use high girth, high chromatic number hypergraphs to show that there are finite models of the equational theory of the semiring of non‐negative integers whose equational theory has no finite axiomatisation, and show this also holds if factorial, fixed base exponentiation and operations for binomial coefficients are adjoined.

Residually rationally solvable one‐relator groups

open access: yesBulletin of the London Mathematical Society, EarlyView.
Abstract We show that the intersection of the rational derived series of a one‐relator group is rationally perfect and is normally generated by a single element. As a corollary, we characterise precisely when a one‐relator group is residually rationally solvable.
