Synthesis of Telechelic‐Type Polypeptides Functionalized with Aromatic Units and the Characterization of Their Structures and Thermal Properties

open access: yesMacromolecular Rapid Communications, EarlyView.
Polypeptide chains were extended from both ends of aromatic diamines by chemoenzymatic polymerization, resulting in the synthesis of telechelic polyglycines (TPG) and polyalanines (TPA). These telechelic polymers assembled into branched nanofibrils through π‐π stacking of aromatic rings, with the polymer backbones bent at the aromatic unit.

Stability Switches and Hopf Bifurcation in a Kaleckian Model of Business Cycle

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
This paper considers a Kaleckian type model of business cycle based on a nonlinear delay differential equation, whose associated characteristic equation is a transcendental equation with delay dependent coefficients.

The radial action from probe amplitudes to all orders

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
We extract the relativistic classical radial action from scattering amplitudes, to all orders in perturbation theory, in the probe limit. Our sources include point charges and monopoles, as well as the Schwarzschild and pure-NUT gravitational backgrounds.

The transcendental Risch differential equation

open access: yesJournal of Symbolic Computation, 1990
Let \(k\) be a differential field of characteristic \(0\) and \(K\) be a differential field extension of \(k\) (with derivation \(x\mapsto x': K\to K\)); let \(\theta\) be an element of \(K\) satisfying the following conditions: \(\theta\) is transcendental over \(k\), \(k\) and \(k(\theta)\) have the same field of constants, and either \(\theta\) is ...

Sustainability as Justice: Making the “Leave No One Behind” Work

open access: yesSustainable Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper critically engages with the LNOB principle of the 2030 Agenda, highlighting its conceptual, methodological, and structural limitations. Building on Amartya Sen's social choice theory and Rawlsian justice, it reconceptualizes “sustainability as justice,” emphasizing real‐world comparative assessments grounded in intersectionality. It

A NEW ROOT–FINDING ALGORITHM USING EXPONENTIAL SERIES

open access: yesUral Mathematical Journal, 2019
In this paper, we present a new root-finding algorithm to compute a non-zero real root of the transcendental equations using exponential series. Indeed, the new proposed algorithm is based on the exponential series and in which Secant method is special ...

Permutable entire functions satisfying algebraic differential equations

open access: yes, 2005
It is shown that if two transcendental entire functions permute, and if one of them satisfies an algebraic differential equation, then so does the other one.Comment: 5 ...

Who Is the System? On the Externalisation and Depersonalisation of Responsibility for Abuse

open access: yesSystems Research and Behavioral Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This article examines the externalisation and depersonalisation of responsibility in the institutional communication of the Roman Catholic Church in the context of sexualised violence. Niklas Luhmann's theory of social systems is used to show how semantic constructions such as ‘systemic causes’ rhetorically blur responsibility and contribute ...

On the one-dimensional reggeon model: eigenvalues of the Hamiltonian and the propagator

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2019
The effective reggeon field theory in zero transverse dimension (“the toy model”) is studied. The transcendental equation for the eigenvalues of the Hamiltonian of this theory is derived and solved numerically.

Power expansions for solution of the fourth-order analog to the first Painlev\'{e} equation

open access: yes, 2005
One of the fourth-order analog to the first Painlev\'{e} equation is studied. All power expansions for solutions of this equation near points $z=0$ and $z=\infty$ are found by means of the power geometry method. The exponential additions to the expansion
