Local Bifurcation and Global Stability of Two‐Prey‐One‐Predator Model

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
This paper deals with dynamical analysis of an ecological model. This model includes two logistically growing prey species, namely, Prey X and Prey Y, and the third species Z behaves as the predator, predating both Prey X and Prey Y according to the extended Holling type‐II functional response.

Reducing or enhancing chaos using periodic orbits

open access: yes, 2006
A method to reduce or enhance chaos in Hamiltonian flows with two degrees of freedom is discussed. This method is based on finding a suitable perturbation of the system such that the stability of a set of periodic orbits changes (local bifurcations ...

Hydra Effect and Harvesting Optimal Policy in a Generalist Predator Prey Model With General Holling Type Response Functions

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
This study illustrates selective and combined harvesting efforts to examine the existence of hydra effect and global MSTY (maximum sustainable total yield) in a generalist predator–prey mathematical model with general Holling type response functions. The hydra effect is an ecological paradox in which a species’ population size increases in response to ...

Bifurcation Analysis in a Coffee Berry-Borer-and-Ants Prey–Predator Model

open access: yesMathematics
One of the most important agricultural activities worldwide, coffee cultivation, is severely affected by the Coffee Berry Borer (CBB), Hypothenemus hampei, considered the primary coffee pest.

Bifurcation analysis with self-excited and hidden attractors for a chaotic jerk system

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics and Computer Science
This paper is devoted to investigating the local bifurcation of a chaotic jerk system. The local stability of equilibrium points is analyzed, as well as the existence of transcritical bifurcation at the origin.

Bifurcation Analysis of an eco-epidemiological model involving prey refuge, fear impact and hunting cooperation

open access: yesJournal of Education for Pure Science- University of Thi-Qar
This paper centers on an eco-epidemiological predator-prey model that accounts for hunting cooperation among predators and prey shelter and fear in afflicted prey.

Complex dynamics of a nonlinear discrete predator-prey system with Allee effect

open access: yesOpen Mathematics
The transition between strong and weak Allee effects in prey provides a simple regime shift in ecology. In this article, we study a discrete predator-prey system with Holling type II functional response and Allee effect. First, the number of fixed points

The local Bifurcation of Dynamic Behavior of Predator-Prey System with Refuge for both Species

open access: yesIbn Al-Haitham Journal for Pure and Applied Sciences
The main purpose of this paper is to study a predator – prey dynamical system consisting of three species prey, specialized predator and generalist predator namely H (t), I (t) and J (t) respectively, w food web and refuge for the prey and specialized ...
