Transdermal Delivery of Testosterone*
The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, 1987We administered testosterone transdermally to six hypogonadal men by applying a thin flexible polymeric membrane containing testosterone to the scrotum. Each man wore a placebo membrane and three doses (5, 10, and 15 mg) of testosterone-containing membranes for 22 h/day. Each dose was worn for 1 week, and one dose was worn a second week.

Transdermal patches in dermatology
Dermatologic Therapy, 2019Transdermal patches are effective treatment modalities which have variety of advantages. Active ingredient in these systems are absorbed from skin and reach to blood circulation via capillaries. Bypassing hepatic metabolism, providing constant plasma levels of drug for long time, and fewer drug interactions are the main advantages of this method. It is

The transdermal delivery of fentanyl
European Journal of Pharmaceutics and Biopharmaceutics, 2013The fentanyl patch is one of the great commercial successes in transdermal drug delivery. The suitability of this molecule for delivery through skin had been identified in the 1970s, and subsequently, a number of transdermal formulations became available on the market.
