Transdisciplinary planning approaches towards resilience

open access: yesProceedings of the 55th ISOCARP World Planning Congress, 2019
Urban functions are no longer separated spatially or socially, and the contest between diverse land-uses is reaching a peak due to growing populations and increasing urbanization that inflates the pressure on already strained resources within the urban fabric.

Ultra‐Thick Carbon Microhoneycomb Cathode for High‐Capacity Lithium‐Oxygen Batteries

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates ultra‐thick biochar‐derived carbon microhoneycomb cathodes for lithium‐oxygen batteries. The penetrated macrochannels serve as highly efficient pathways for Li+ and O2 and provide abundant accommodation space for the discharge product. The optimized cathode achieved a high areal capacity of 38.2 mAh cm–2, providing guidelines for

(2‐Phosphinophenyl)aluminum Dichloride Complexes as Intramolecular Al/P Frustrated Lewis Pairs for Ketone, Ester, and Imine Activation

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Three 2‐phosphinophenylaluminum dichloride complexes were synthesized and characterized as novel intramolecular FLPs. These FLP systems exhibit high Lewis acidity and effectively activate challenging substrates including aliphatic ketones, imines, and esters. DFT analysis revealed that strain release and Al–P dynamics govern their reactivity. Abstract (

Proton‐Exchanged Montmorillonite With Interlayer Accessibility as a Solid Acid Catalyst for the Upcycling of Polyoxymethylene

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
The first microwave‐assistance‐free heterogeneous catalytic upcycling of polyoxymethylene (POM) into valuable cyclic acetals is achieved with a reusable proton‐exchanged montmorillonite (H‐Mont) catalyst. Combining interlayer accessibility with strong acidity, H‐Mont enables efficient, regenerable, and versatile transformations with potentially biomass‐
