Investigating Chemical Modifications in Furan‐Based Polyesters Through Experimental and Mathematical Analysis

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, Volume 311, Issue 1, January 2026.
PTT‐co‐PTG and PTF‐co‐PTG copolyesters were synthesized via melt polycondensation. Phase‐transition analysis exhibited similar glass‐transition temperatures (Tg) for petrochemical and renewable feedstocks. The Gordon–Taylor model best fit experimental Tg across the copolymers composition range, validating its use for copolymer design and property ...

Coordinative Ring‐Opening Copolymerization of Limonene Carbamate and ε‐Caprolactone Toward Phosgene‐ and Isocyanate‐Free Polyesterurethane Block‐Copolymers with Tunable Properties

open access: yesMacromolecular Rapid Communications, Volume 47, Issue 1, 9 January 2026.
This study presents a sustainable, isocyanate‐ and phosgene‐free route to polyesterurethanes via coordinative ring‐opening copolymerization of limonene carbamate and ε‐caprolactone. The resulting block copolymers show tunable thermal, optical, and mechanical properties, offering a green alternative for advanced polyurethane materials.
