Clinical Characteristics and Timing of Accessory Pathway Reconduction During Catheter Ablation of Accessory Pathways

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, Volume 42, Issue 5, October 2026.
Intra‐procedural accessory pathway reconduction occurred in 18% of patients, with 65.2% of events detected ≥ 15 min after initial pathway elimination. Reconduction was associated with a higher rate of late recurrence, supporting careful assessment for conduction recovery during the post‐ablation waiting period.

Early Multicenter Outcomes of Dedicated Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement for Left Ventricular Assist Device‐Associated Pure Aortic Regurgitation

open access: yesArtificial Organs, Volume 50, Issue 10, Page 1427-1433, October 2026.
LVAD‐associated aortic regurgitation impairs circulatory support, with limited surgical and off‐label options. In a multicenter registry (n = 30), the AR‐dedicated JenaValve Trilogy TAVR eliminated AR, achieving 96.7% (29/30) technical success and 93.3% (28/30) device success (VARC‐3), with 3.3% (1/30) 30‐day mortality.

Combined Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction and Extra‐articular Tenodesis Using the Iliotibial Band With Femoral Press‐Fit Fixation: A Low‐Cost and Reproducible Technique

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, Volume 15, Issue 9, September 2026.
Abstract The addition of a lateral extra‐articular reinforcement to anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction has been shown to enhance rotational stability and protect the intra‐articular graft. Although several techniques using the iliotibial band have been described, most rely on fixation devices that increase surgical cost and complexity.

Objective measurement methods for the evaluation of socket comfort in patients with transfemoral amputation: a systematic review

open access: yesFrontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology
ObjectiveAchieving optimal fitting for the socket-limb interface in transfemoral amputees remains a significant challenge. This iterative fitting process largely relies on subjective feedback regarding the patient’s comfort and the expertise of the ...

Consecutive Emergency Carotid Artery Stenting and Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement in a Patient With Cardiogenic Shock: A Case Report

open access: yesCatheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, Volume 108, Issue 3, Page 1047-1051, September 1, 2026.
ABSTRACT Severe aortic stenosis (AS) carries a poor prognosis when symptomatic, particularly in cardiogenic shock (CS). Emergency transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) is rarely performed but may represent a rescue therapy. Coexistent carotid artery stenosis (CAS) further increases procedural risk.

Effectiveness of an Information Platform‐Based Multidisciplinary Enhanced Recovery After Surgery Program on Recovery After Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation: A Non‐Concurrent Controlled Study

open access: yesNursing Open, Volume 13, Issue 9, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Aim To evaluate the implementation effectiveness of a multicomponent multidisciplinary Enhanced Recovery After Surgery pathway integrated with an information platform for patients undergoing transcatheter aortic valve implantation. Design A single‐center quasi‐experimental study with a non‐concurrent historical control group.

Clinical outcomes of monitored anesthesia care vs. general anesthesia in transfemoral transcatheter aortic valve implantation: a single-center retrospective study

open access: yesFrontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine
BackgroundTranscatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) has become a preferred treatment for severe aortic stenosis in high-risk patients. In China, general anesthesia (GA) remains the standard; however, monitored anesthesia care (MAC) offers a less ...

Neurohumoral Biomarker Profile Associated With Blood Pressure Response After Renal Denervation

open access: yesThe Journal of Clinical Hypertension, Volume 28, Issue 9, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Blood pressure (BP) response after renal denervation (RDN) remains heterogeneous. This study explored whether baseline neurohumoral and inflammation‐related biomarkers were associated with a pronounced ambulatory BP response after RDN. This single‐center post hoc analysis included 40 patients with uncontrolled essential hypertension who ...

Radial Versus Femoral Access for Diagnostic Coronary Angiography: Insights From a Tertiary Academic Center in Johannesburg

open access: yesCatheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, Volume 108, Issue 2, Page 437-445, August 1, 2026.
ABSTRACT Background The radial artery is the preferred access for performing diagnostic coronary angiograms (DCA). However, data on the safety and efficacy of radial compared to femoral access in low‐ and middle‐income countries is limited. Aims This study aims to evaluate the safety and efficacy of radial versus femoral access in patients referred for
