ABSTRACT There is no doubt that coins are of great interest to historical research, as they provide a wealth of information about the period in which they were minted. The Roman Tetrarchy (AD 294‐324) was one of the most turbulent periods in Roman history.

The surface functionalization of Eu‐doped LaF3 particles with a two‐photon absorbing IrIII complex results in the formation of ultrabright Eu:LaF3 phosphors, which exhibit a combination of short‐lived IrIII and long‐lived EuIII‐sensitized emissions. These Ir/Eu hybrids are effectively internalized by HEK‐293 cells without causing toxic effects, thereby

The microbiome of the uropygial gland and integuments where birds spread the uropygial secretion may play crucial roles for their hosts, but it has been poorly studied, especially in wild species. Exploring bacterial communities associated with the uropygial secretion of birds is particularly interesting in species under strong selection pressures due ...

Abstract Spices and culinary seeds, valued for their flavor and aroma, pose unique challenges for disinfection, as heat treatments are often unsuitable. Their raw consumption increases the risk of contamination, particularly with Salmonella spp. Thermal treatments are widely used for food disinfection due to their effectiveness in inactivating bacteria.

ABSTRACT Background This study aims to examine the relationship between resting vagal‐related heart rate variability (HRV) parameters and heart rate (HR) with resting metabolic rate (RMR) and respiratory exchange ratio (RER) in young adults. Methods A total of 74 young adults (22 ± 2 years old, 51 women) were included in this cross‐sectional study. HRV

A two‐photon absorbing Ir(III) complex is used as an antenna to sensitize Eu(III)‐based emission from Eu0.3La0.7F3 particles. The resulting Eu0.3La0.7F3@Ir composite, in which the existence of Ir → Eu energy transfer is demonstrated, exhibits bright and color‐tunable light emission under both UV–vis and near‐infrared excitation.
