Genetic Transformation of Eucalyptus
1994The genus Eucalyptus belongs to the Myrtaceae family and has a wide distribution except in northern areas where its lack of cold resistance has limited its use in plantations. The main characteristics of Eucalyptus have already been described by McComb and Bennett (1986) in this series and by Lakshmi Sita (1993).

Advances in Genetic Transformation
2015Transgenic sorghum has trailed behind other cereals in progress due to tissue culture limitations, lack of model genotypes, low regeneration, and lack of sustainability of regeneration through sub-cultures. Particle bombardment and Agrobacterium-mediated methods are frequently preferred methods for production of transgenic sorghum. Immature embryos and

Genetic engineering in peas (Pisum sativum L.) is discussed in relation to Agrobacterium tumefaciens-mediated transformation and direct gene transfer via electroporation. There are several methods of A. tumefaciens-mediated transformation applied routinely in a number of laboratories around the world.

Genetic transformation in melon
2012Melon is one of the species in Cucurbitaceae which has intense transformation researches for two decades. We review here the various approaches reported in the literature. A. tumefaciens was used mainly in melon transformation studies. Few studies were reported by using particule bombardment, A.
