Comment on “Defining a curve as a Bezier curve”
In a recent article published in this journal, Baydas and Karakas show how to compute the Bézier representation of a curve given in power form. We note that this straightforward exercise, including a closed-form expression for the transformation matrix ...

Augmented reality usage for prototyping speed up
The integral part of production process in many companies is prototyping. Although, these companies commonly have high quality visualization tools (large screen projections, virtual reality), prototyping was never abandoned. There is a number of reasons.

Equiconvergence of matrix transformations [PDF]
Equiconvergence of matrix transformations is related to the existence of Tauberian constants. Agnew’s result on the equiconvergence of Cesàro and Riesz means is shown to be best possible. Finally, equiconvergence of equivalent arithmetical summation methods related to the prime number theorem is investigated.

Thirty-six full matrix forms of the Pascal triangle: Derivation and symmetry relations
For all 2≤n∈N, the four vertices (00),(n0),(2nn),(nn) of the Pascal Triangle expanded from level 0 to level 2n define the greatest embedded rhomboid sub-block denoted n−GRSB in this paper.

Expression of strain tensor in orthogonal curvilinear coordinates
Based on an analysis of connotation and extension of the concept of the orthogonal curvilinear coordinates, we have deduced a platform of strain tensor expression of Cartesian coordinates, which turns out to be a function of Lame coefficient and unit ...

Calculations on Matrix Transformations Involving an Infinite Tridiagonal Matrix [PDF]
Given any sequence z=znn≥1 of positive real numbers and any set E of complex sequences, we write Ez for the set of all sequences y=ynn≥1 such that y/z=yn/znn≥1∈E; in particular, sz0 denotes the set of all sequences y such that y/z tends to zero. Here, we consider the infinite tridiagonal matrix Br,s,t˜, obtained from the triangle Br,s,t, by deleting ...

Real-time pose estimation of underground unmanned aerial vehicle based on ICP method
In view of characteristics of no GPS signal, low illumination and structured environment in coal mine, a real-time pose estimation method for underground unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) based on iterative closest point (ICP) was proposed.

Shanks' transformation is a well know sequence transformation for accelerating the convergence of scalar sequences. It has been extended to the case of sequences of vectors and sequences of square matrices satisfying a linear difference equation with scalar coefficients.

Creating Transformations for Matrix Obfuscation [PDF]
There are many programming situations where it would be convenient to conceal the meaning of code, or the meaning of certain variables. This can be achieved through program transformations which are grouped under the term obfuscation . Obfuscation is one of a number of techniques that can be employed to protect sensitive areas of code.
