Transformation of cross sections
Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research, 1981Abstract Correct transformation factors to be used in computerized transformations of continuous spectra, i.e. d 2 σ/ d E lab d Ω lab , are deduced. Significant errors in the cross section as well as in the shape of the spectra result from the use of ϖ(E lab , Ω lab )/ϖ(E cm , Ω cm ...

Analysis of Rosen piezoelectric transformers with a varying cross-section
IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics and Frequency Control, 2008We study the effects of a varying cross-section on the performance of Rosen piezoelectric transformers operating with length extensional modes of rods. A theoretical analysis is performed using an extended version of a one-dimensional model developed in a previous paper. Numerical results based on the theoretical analysis are presented.

Transformation of Scattering Cross Sections
Journal of Applied Physics, 1954A simple method is presented for the calculation of the transformation matrices between the Legendre polynomial expansion coefficients of the scattering cross section in the laboratory and center-of-mass systems. Approximate expressions for the matrices are given.

Coordinate transformation of screw rotor profile in different cross sections
Vacuum, 2021Abstract This paper presents a method of transformation of the screw vacuum pump rotor (SVPR) profile in different sections. Corresponding formulas and transformation steps are given in detail. Based on a rotor of certain profile and geometric parameters, the transformation calculation is carried out as an example between the transverse and ...

Transformation of waves in beams of variable cross section
Soviet Journal of Quantum Electronics, 1990An investigation is made of the feasibility of improving the characteristics of a stimulated scattering amplifier and of a hypersonic phase-conjugating mirror by the use of beams with variable cross sections. It is shown that in the process of amplification due to stimulated scattering of an external signal there is an infinite set of geometric ...

Cross-Sectional Time Series Designs: A General Transformation Approach
Multivariate Behavioral Research, 1991Cross-sectional time series designs assess the generalizability of intervention effects across different units. The general transformation approach to time series analysis was proposed by Velicer and McDonald (1984) to avoid the model identification step.

Cross section transformation with Jacobian and with a Monte Carlo method
Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section A: Accelerators, Spectrometers, Detectors and Associated Equipment, 1999Abstract We have performed a cross sectional transformation with Jacobians and with a Monte Carlo method for the collinear detection data of α − t coincidences from the breakup reaction of 7 Li. It is shown that the same rest frame cross sections result from the two different types of transformation within statistical uncertainties.
