Transformer Protection Algorithm Based on S-Transform

2020 28th Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU), 2020
In this study, Stockwell transform and artificial neural network were used in determining the inrush current and the internal current fault based on the power transformer protection. The S-transform is a robust transform that incorporates the time and frequency characteristics used in the analysis of non-stationary short term transient signals.

Protecting wavelet lifting transforms

10th IEEE Pacific Rim International Symposium on Dependable Computing, 2004. Proceedings., 2004
Wavelet transforms are the central to many applications in image processing and data compression. They have banks of multirate filters that are difficult to protect from computer-induced numerical errors. An efficient algorithm-based fault tolerance approach is proposed for detecting arithmetic errors in the output data.

The protection of transformers

1993
It was stated in Chapter 2 that power transformers were first included in power supply systems in the last decade of the nineteenth century to enable electricity to be distributed from central stations at relatively high voltages to consumers spread over quite wide areas.

Lightning protection for transformers

Electrical Engineering, 1936
As part of the modernization symposium scheduled for the 1936 winter convention, the A.I.E.E. transformer and lightning arrester subcommittees∗ have prepared this joint report, which summarizes briefly methods now available for protecting transformers against both traveling waves and direct strokes.
