Research on the Winding Losses Based on Finite Element Method for High Frequency Transformer

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2015
The transformer loss is the important factor influencing the transformer operation. The high frequency eddy effects including skin and proximity effects raise the winding losses.

A New Structure for Sen Transformer Using Three Winding Linear Transformer

open access: yesInternational Journal of Power Electronics and Drive Systems (IJPEDS), 2016
<p>In this paper a new structure for "Sen" transformer is introduced, by using three winding transformers with neutral point in order to use negative value of compensating voltage. Combination of taps will be adjusted by a novel algorithm, to control the required active and reactive powers, separately.

Enzymatic degradation of biopolymers in amorphous and molten states: mechanisms and applications

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This review explains how polymer morphology and thermal state shape enzymatic degradation pathways, comparing amorphous and molten biopolymer structures. By integrating structure–reactivity principles with insights from thermodynamics and enzyme engineering, it highlights mechanisms that enable efficient polymer breakdown.

Parametric calculation of pulse transformer with open magnetic cores based on magnetostatic-field theory

open access: yesPhysical Review Special Topics. Accelerators and Beams, 2013
An analytical method for calculating the magnetostatic field of a pulse transformer with open magnetic cores is put forward in this paper, and formulas for calculating inductances of a small aspect-ratio transformer are derived.

Microglial dynamics and ferroptosis induction in human iPSC‐derived neuron–astrocyte–microglia tri‐cultures

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
A tri‐culture of iPSC‐derived neurons, astrocytes, and microglia treated with ferroptosis inducers as an Induced ferroptosis model was characterized by scRNA‐seq, cell survival, and cytokine release assays. This analysis revealed diverse microglial transcriptomic changes, indicating that the system captures key aspects of the complex cellular ...

Differential regulation of ZFAS1 splice variants by endoplasmic reticulum stress in hepatocyte cell lines

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
ZFAS1 is a lncRNA promoting cell proliferation and migration, exhibiting high expression in various cancers. It is conserved, widely expressed, and produces multiple splice variants with unclear roles. We identified several splice variants in hepatocyte models, and found that inhibiting or suppressing regulators of the unfolded protein response (PERK ...

Classic Power Transformer Windings

open access: yesTransformers Magazine, 2014
The main function of any transformer is to adapt two or more different voltage levels, one being the high voltage (HV), the other being the low voltage (LV). Sometimes a medium voltage (MV) is needed in between, then one winding for every voltage level and every phase are manufactured.

Base drive for paralleled inverter systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 1980
In a paralleled inverter system, a positive feedback current derived from the total current from all of the modules of the inverter system is applied to the base drive of each of the power transistors of all modules, thereby to provide all modules ...

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...
