Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, EarlyView.Abstract Research Summary Using 14,108 Kickstarter crowdfunding campaigns, we examine three strategies to gather support from first‐time versus repeat backers: narrative distinctiveness aligning with backers' expectations of novelty, endorsement from Kickstarter staff, and campaign leadership's reciprocity of funding other campaigns.

Symbolic Interaction, EarlyView.Drawing on 40 in‐depth interviews with transgender and nonbinary people, we found that respondents' gender identities or displays shifted day‐by‐day and audience‐by‐audience. The first describes respondents shifting their identities and displays based on feeling their way through gender while the latter describes feeling out an audience.
