Transient Photovoltaic Current in Tetracene

Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, 1973
In order to analyze the positive and negative charge current in the organic semiconductor, tetracene, we measured the transient photovoltaic current. From the rate equations for the relaxation of these two currents, the magnitude and the relaxation time of these currents are evaluated.

The Interpretation of Current Transients in Dielectrics

IEEE Transactions on Electrical Insulation, 1981
It is shown that a peak in a transient current following a step voltage application generally does not represent the carrier transit time in some dielectrics. Different mechanisms leading to almost similar transient currents are discussed. It is shown that current transient peaks can have different significance depending on the mechanisms of charge ...

Transient currents in a-Si:H diodes

Journal of Non-Crystalline Solids, 1991
The decay of stationary photocurrents on a-Si:H Schottky and nip diodes is investigated. The transient current is attributed to deep trapping and thermal emission of electrons. A good fit of decay curves is obtained from Shockley-Read statistics. Injection and recombination are shown to be minor effects under normal conditions.

Transient Currents in a Field Emitter

2008 IEEE 35th International Conference on Plasma Science, 2008
We seek to understand the transient behavior that is occasionally observed in field emitter experiments, as well as the relationship between the Fowler-Nordheim parameters deduced from pulsed and steady-state experiments. To this end, a model is constructed to study the effects of the gap capacitance and the base resistance on the evolution of the ...

The transient current in polyimide film

Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, 1974
Literature data on the transient DC current exhibited by polyimide films are reinterpreted in terms of the contribution of dipolar rotation.

Transient currents on a cylinder excited by a parallel line-current

Canadian Journal of Physics, 1991
An analytical treatment of the currents induced on a perfectly conducting circular cylinder by a cylindrical electromagnetic wave, generated by a parallel filament carrying a unit-step current, is presented. An expression is derived for the induced current density, which is theoretically valid for both the illuminated and shadow regions, and for all ...

Transient current testing based on current (charge) integration

Proceedings 1998 IEEE International Workshop on IDDQ Testing (Cat. No.98EX232), 2002
We evaluated a technique that uses power supply charge as the test observable. Charge was computed from the measured supply transient current waveform. Data show that this method is efficient to detect those defects that prevent current elevation (mainly "hard" opens) and therefore represents a valid extension of I/sub DDQ/.

Transient charging currents in insulators

Solid-State Electronics, 1975
It is shown that charging currents in good insulators can be used to distinguish between different empirical carrier injection laws, if most carriers are trapped according to the Walden model. Schottky injection and power law injection are considered in detail.

Transient photoinjection current in anthracene

Conference on Electrical Insulation & Dielectric Phenomena - Annual Report 1971, 1971
Injection current measurements in insulators have yielded very valuable information concerning conduction processes and trapping characteristics in the bulk of the material. By using a high intensity step function light pulse, information can be obtained also on carrier trapping at the surface of the crystal.
