Ultrasmall Platinum Nanoparticles for Radiation‐Enhanced Cancer Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 45, 5 June 2026.
This work proposes a nanomedicine‐based strategy to enhance X‐ray radiotherapy for cancer treatment. Ultrasmall Pt‐NPs exhibit catalase‐like activity that may contribute to modulation of the tumor microenvironment and amplify interactions between radiation and biological matter, leading to increased DNA damage.

Study of Influential Parameters for Transient Electromagnetic Method [PDF]

open access: yes2010 Asia-Pacific Power and Energy Engineering Conference, 2010
Series of models are designed to test the influences of some parameters such as resistivity of overburden layer, basement and transmitter-receiver layouts, to a given 3D conductive anomaly in the layered earth model by transient electromagnetic (TEM) method, which is often used in engineering exploration.

Constraining a density-dependent flow model with the transient electromagnetic method in a coastal aquifer in Mexico to assess seawater intrusion

open access: yesHydrogeology Journal, 2019
Saltwater intrusion is one of the most pressing environmental concerns in coastal areas with increased water demands. Water extraction decreases the level of fresh groundwater, reducing the water pressure and allowing saltwater to flow further inland ...

Dual‐Programmable Architected Magnetic Soft Materials: Tuning Mechano–Electric Responses by Inverse Design

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 44, 1 June 2026.
ABSTRACT Materials that can deform, sense, and autonomously generate power in response to wireless magnetic fields, through both magnetic‐actuated shape transformation and charge generation, are an emerging focus in advanced functional materials research.

Hydrogeophysical mapping with the transient electromagnetic sounding method

open access: yes3rd EEGS Meeting, 1997
The transient electromagnetic sounding method is an effective reconnaissance exploration tool for mapping good conductors like day and salt water. In the Bredebro area in Southem Jutland, Denrnark, the method has been used for mapping an aquifer situated in a Tertiary valley system eroded out in heavy day.

Multiplex Modular Nanorobotic Systems with Catalytic Activity under Magnetic Navigation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We present modular nanorobots composed of a magnetic propulsion module and different extension modules carrying functional activities, assembled via DNA base pairing. The system integrates propulsion, optical tracking, enzymatic catalysis, and cell docking in a programmable manner.

The pulled array transient electromagnetic method

open access: yes3rd EEGS Meeting, 1997
The mapping of subsurface resistivity structures using transient electromagnetic soundings, TEM, has gained an important role in hydrogeological investigations in Denmark. Regional mapping with TEM have produced resuits, which leaves no doubt as to the ability of the method to delineate freshwater sandy aquifers in well conducting hosts of Tertiary ...

Wavelet-Based High-Order Adaptive Modeling of Lossy Interconnects [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
—This paper presents a numerical-modeling strategy for simulation of fast transients in lossy electrical interconnects. The proposed algorithm makes use of wavelet representations of voltages and currents along the structure, with the aim of reducing the
