Redefining Therapies for Drug‐Resistant Tuberculosis: Synergistic Effects of Antimicrobial Peptides, Nanotechnology, and Computational Design

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Antimicrobial peptide (AMP)‐loaded nanocarriers provide a multifunctional strategy to combat drug‐resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis. By enhancing intracellular delivery, bypassing efflux pumps, and disrupting bacterial membranes, this platform restores phagolysosome fusion and macrophage function.

Grid-Impedance-Based Transient Current Control for Offshore Wind Turbines under Low-Voltage Fault

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering
In order to enhance the transient stability of offshore wind turbines (OWTs) in marine energy systems, the grid codes stipulate that OWTs should possess the low-voltage ride-through (LVRT) ability of being grid-tied and injecting reactive current during ...

A 3D Astrocyte Microenvironment Model Enables Rapid Ca2+‐Resolved Analysis and Therapeutic Modulation of Oxidative Neuroinflammation

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents ARC‐3D, a soft 3D model that recreates how brain support cells, called astrocytes, react to oxidative stress. The system visualizes rapid calcium changes and inflammatory signals, and shows how the drug KDS12025 can protect cells from damage. ARC‐3D offers a simple, reliable way to study early drivers of brain inflammation.

Dynamic Modulation of the Microenvironment Promotes Functional Maturation of Engineered Tissues

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Engineered tissues lack the dynamic microenvironment of native tissues. A biocompatible, diffusible small molecule to dynamically modulate tissue microenvironments during maturation is used. Timing‐dependent modulation yields distinct outcomes, producing thicker, more native‐like blood vessels, stronger and more mature cardiac tissues, and optimized ...

Robust synchronization of four-dimensional chaotic finance systems with unknown parametric uncertainties

open access: yesAutomatika
The inherent randomness in economic factors causes complex and irregular behaviour that affects financial system stability and economic growth. Such chaotic behaviour can make it difficult to synchronize financial systems.

3D‐Printed Titanium Implants with Bioactive Peptide‐Polysaccharide Scaffolds for Personalized Bone Reconstruction

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Porous 3D‐printed titanium implants are made bioactive by integration with a supramolecular peptide‐hyaluronic acid nanofibrillar scaffold, without the addition of exogenous cells or growth factors. Uniform filling of the implant architecture promotes vascularized, spatially homogeneous bone regeneration, significantly enhancing osteogenesis throughout
