A Numerov–Galerkin Framework for the Transient Dynamics of Anisotropic Plates on Vlasov Foundations
In this study, a high-order Galerkin–Numerov approach is presented to solve the transient vibration problem of anisotropic Kirchhoff plates supported by a uniform Vlasov foundation. A discretization of the governing fourth-order plate equation is derived

Subjective response to seated fore-and-aft direction whole-body vibration [PDF]
Subjective response to seated, fore-and-aft direction, whole-body vibration of the type experienced in automobiles was investigated. Fore-and-aft acceleration was measured at the seat guide of a small automobile when driving over two representative road ...

Transient Vibration of Thin Elastic Shells [PDF]
A complete solution for the transient response produced by time-dependent surface loads on a thin elastic shell of arbitrary shape is derived by means of the classical method of spectral representation. The solution is expanded in terms of the normal modes of free vibration, and their orthogonality is proved for an arbitrary shell.

Transient amplification of maximum vibration amplitudes [PDF]
AbstractMany low damped structures as turbine blades or drill strings are exposed to high dynamical loads causing high vibration amplitudes. These applications comprise sub‐critical eigenfrequencies. Hereby, the lower eigenfrequencies have to be passed before reaching the operating point.
