A Wideband CMOS Transconductance-Transimpedance Amplifier

2003 46th Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2006
In this work, a CMOS transconductance-transimpedance wideband amplifier is proposed. Using a high-speed current mirror, the amplifier has more reliable and stable performance compared to the original configuration. A test chip is fabricated using 0.35 mum CMOS 1P4M process.

Design of a Broadband Transimpedance Amplifier

2007 International Workshop on Electron Devices and Semiconductor Technology (EDST), 2007
Based on Mentor EDA schematic simulation software and Chartered 0.35 ?n CMOS technology, A broadband Transimpedance amplifier was designed on the use of the inductance increasing bandwidth technique in the application of a shunt peaking amplifier, The 3.3V single voltage source was adopted in the design and the simulation results show that the ...

10Gbit/s 2mW inductorless transimpedance amplifier

2012 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2012
This work presents the design and performance of a 10Gbit/s transimpedance amplifier (TIA) implemented in a 40nm CMOS technology. The introduced TIA uses an inverter with active common-drain feedback (ICDF-TIA). The TIA is followed by a two-stage differential amplifier and a 50Ω differential output driver to provide an interface to the measurement ...

On the Performance of Transimpedance Amplifier

2003 46th Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2006
A comparative study of the different schemes of the transimpedance amplifier is presented in this paper. A figure of merit is proposed to quantify the performance of each topology. The common base configuration is suitable for high voltage technologies.

Dynamics of a Logarithmic Transimpedance Amplifier

2007 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2007
We analyze the dynamics of a logarithmic transimpedance amplifier that are not explainable from its small-signal model. The amplifier was used both to measure pixel currents in an imager as well as currents from a floating gate array for accurate programming.

Bootstrap transimpedance amplifier: a new configuration

IEE Proceedings G Circuits, Devices and Systems, 1989
In any photodetector application, capacitance is a major factor which limits response time. Decreasing load resistance improves this aspect, but at the expense of sensitivity. In the subsequent amplifier, positive feedback may be used with caution. It is possible to combine the effective stability of negative feedback with the desirable features of the

Transimpedance amplifier with PDCM and AGC

2007 7th International Conference on ASIC, 2007
A 1.25 Gb/s transimpedance amplifier(TIA) with high precision photodetector current monitor.(PDCM) and auto gain control(AGC) circuit is proposed. The PDCM circuit can get precision and linearity monitor voltage output. The AGC is less dependent on the alteration of devices parameter because of the design technology based on proportional parameter. The

A general purpose, broadband transimpedance amplifier

Proceedings of IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems - ISCAS '94, 2002
A transimpedance amplifier is described which has been specially designed to work with a large range of diode capacitances and feedback resistor values at broad bandwidths. The amplifier achieves both low voltage and current noise and is DC coupled with millivolt offsets. The input stage includes a limiter to improve overdrive recovery time.
