On the detection of satellites of extrasolar planets with the method of transits [PDF]
We compute the detection probability of satel- lites of extrasolar planets with the method of transits, un- der the assumption that the duration of the observations is at least as long as the planet orbital period. We separate the cases when the parent planet does and does not also transit over the star.

Deposition of mineral dust into ocean fertilizes ecosystems and influences biogeochemical cycles and climate. In situ observations of dust deposition are scarce, and model simulations depend on the highly parameterized representations of dust processes ...

This study presents excellent EMI shielding effectiveness of highly crystalline HC‐Ti3C2Tx MXene, characterized by high electrical conductivity, outstanding environmental stability, and facile processability, across a multispectral frequency range from 100 kHz to 110 GHz. It is revealed that increasing the thickness and electrical conductivity of MXene

A role for RNA post-transcriptional regulation in satellite cell activation
Background Satellite cells are resident skeletal muscle stem cells responsible for muscle maintenance and repair. In resting muscle, satellite cells are maintained in a quiescent state.

TOI-5205b: A Short-period Jovian Planet Transiting a Mid-M Dwarf
We present the discovery of TOI-5205b, a transiting Jovian planet orbiting a solar metallicity M4V star, which was discovered using Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite photometry and then confirmed using a combination of precise radial velocities ...

An Upper Limit on the Albedo of HD 209458b: Direct Imaging Photometry with the MOST Satellite
We present space-based photometry of the transiting exoplanetary system HD 209458 obtained with the MOST (Microvariablity and Oscillations of STars) satellite, spanning 14 days and covering 4 transits and 4 secondary eclipses.

PBTTT‐OR‐R, a C14‐alkoxy/alkyl‐PBTTT polymer derivative, is of substantial interest for optoelectronics due to its specific fullerene intercalation behavior and enhanced charge‐transfer absorption. Comparing this polymer with (S) and without (O) homocoupling defects reveals that PBTTT‐OR‐R(O) forms stable co‐crystals with PC61BM, while PBTTT‐OR‐R(S ...

Dark satellites and the morphology of dwarf galaxies [PDF]
One of the strongest predictions of the LambdaCDM cosmological model is the presence of dark satellites orbiting all types of galaxies. We focus here on the dynamical effects of such satellites on disky dwarf galaxies, and demonstrate that these encounters can be dramatic.

Alkaline Exospheres of Exoplanet Systems: Evaporative Transmission Spectra
Hydrostatic equilibrium is an excellent approximation for the dense layers of planetary atmospheres where it has been canonically used to interpret transmission spectra of exoplanets.
