Concurrent Interface Passivation and Contact Work Function Tuning in Organic Self‐Aligned Gate Transistors and Complementary Circuits Using Phosphonic Acid Self‐Assembled Monolayers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Self‐aligned gate transistors are developed with a single‐step dielectric passivation and fine‐tuning of source/drain electrode work function using phosphonic acid self‐assembled monolayers (SAM). This transistor architecture minimizes overlap capacitances and access resistance.

Core-satellite Graphs. Clustering, Assortativity and Spectral Properties [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
Core-satellite graphs (sometimes referred to as generalized friendship graphs) are an interesting class of graphs that generalize many well known types of graphs. In this paper we show that two popular clustering measures, the average Watts-Strogatz clustering coefficient and the transitivity index, diverge when the graph size increases.

The Hunt for Exomoons with Kepler (HEK): II. Analysis of Seven Viable Satellite-Hosting Planet Candidates

open access: yes, 2013
From the list of 2321 transiting planet candidates announced by the Kepler Mission, we select seven targets with favorable properties for the capacity to dynamically maintain an exomoon and present a detectable signal.

A 3D Macroporous Carbon NiCu Single‐Atom Catalyst for High Current Density CO2 Electroreduction

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A hard‐template 2‐step pyrolysis method is proposed for the fabrication of highly dispersed Ni and Cu atomic active sites on a 3D macroporous carbon matrix in which Ni serves as an active site and Cu as a regulator for selective CO2 electroreduction to CO.

Formation of Jupiter and Conditions for Accretion of the Galilean Satellites [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2008
We present an overview of the formation of Jupiter and its associated circumplanetary disk. Jupiter forms via a combination of planetesimal accretion and gravitational accumulation of gas from the surrounding solar nebula. The formation of the circumjovian gaseous disk, or subnebula, straddles the transitional stage between runaway gas accretion and ...

Satellite surveying for a Loran-C nonprecision approach [PDF]

open access: yes
Work has continued to site-in a Loran-C nonprecision approach at the Ohio University Gordon K. Bush Airport located in Albany, Ohio. A survey was performed using the Motorola Mini-Ranger Satellite Surveying System, which uses the Navy's TRANSIT ...

The Hunt for Exomoons with Kepler (HEK): I. Description of a New Observational Project

open access: yes, 2012
Two decades ago, empirical evidence concerning the existence and frequency of planets around stars, other than our own, was absent. Since this time, the detection of extrasolar planets from Jupiter-sized to most recently Earth-sized worlds has blossomed ...

Highly Crystalline Selenium‐Substituted C‐Shaped Ortho‐Benzodipyrrole‐Based A‐D‐A‐Type Nonfullerene Acceptor Enabling Solution‐Processed Single‐Crystal‐Like Thin Films for Air‐Stable, High‐Mobility N‐Type Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Symmetric selenium‐substituted CB‐2Se forms a highly ordered, kaleidoscope‐like 3D single‐crystal structure with enhanced intermolecular interactions, enabling solution‐processed single‐crystal‐like thin film, which transitions from a kinetically trapped face‐on π–π stacking orientation to a thermodynamically stable edge‐on configuration upon thermal ...

Properties of starspots on CoRoT-2

open access: yes, 2009
As a planet eclipses its parent star, a dark spot on the surface of the star may be occulted, causing a detectable variation in the light curve. A total of 77 consecutive transit light curves of CoRoT-2 were observed with a high temporal resolution of 32
