Inter‐Layer Diffusion of Excitations in 2D Perovskites Revealed by Photoluminescence Reabsorption

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Inter‐layer diffusion of photoexcitations is monitored in thin films of the 2D perovskite (PEA)2PbI4 by tracking time‐dependent changes in photoluminescence spectra induced by photon reabsorption effects. A low out‐of‐plane excitation diffusion coefficient of 0.26 × 10−4 cm2 s−1 is determined through 1D diffusion modeling.

Polar Pore Surface of Polyamide Membranes Enabling Efficient Solvent Mixture Separation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A polyamide membrane with polar pore surfaces and relatively large pore is fabricated through interfacial polymerization between polyethyleneimine and trimesoyl chloride. Rapid separation of solvents with polarity differences is achieved by the synergistic effects of pore polarity and size sieving.

Distinctive Doping Behavior of Conjugated Polymers With Pendant‐Side Conjugation for Enhanced Thermoelectric Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Novel conjugated polymers with side‐chain π‐conjugation are developed to enhance organic thermoelectric properties. Remarkably, the pendant doping in the conjugated polymers preserved strong intermolecular ordering in the film states even at high FeCl3 dopant concentrations (16 – 32 mM), achieving a promising power factor > 10 µW m−1 K−2 across a wide ...

Retrieval of interatomic separations of molecules from laser-induced high-order harmonic spectra

open access: yes, 2008
We illustrate an iterative method for retrieving the internuclear separations of N$_2$, O$_2$ and CO$_2$ molecules using the high-order harmonics generated from these molecules by intense infrared laser pulses.

Near‐Infrared Circularly Polarized Electroluminescence with Switchable Handedness in Organic LEDs

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The first fully‐organic circularly polarized near‐infrared OLED, using a co‐assembled active layer of ITIC and a chiral inducer, exhibits dissymmetry values up to 0.074 and 1.65 Wsr−1m−2 radiance. The circular polarization sign can be switched by manipulating the position of the recombination zone, resulting in enhanced device performance and stability.

Influence of direct dipole-dipole interactions on the optical response of 2D materials in strongly inhomogeneous infrared cavity fields [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
A two-dimensional (2D) material, formed for example by a self-assembled molecular monolayer or by a single layer of a van der Walls material, can couple efficiently with photonic nanocavities, potentially reaching the strong coupling regime. The coupling can be modelled using classical harmonic oscillator models or cavity quantum electrodynamics ...

The Role of Fluorine‐Functionalized Organic Spacers for Defect Passivation and Low‐Dimensional Phase Formation in 3D MAPI Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Fluorine‐functionalized organic spacers (2F, 3F, 5F) are investigated to identify as optimal passivation agents for 3D MAPI perovskite solar cells (PSCs). The study highlights how altering fluorine positioning affects defect passivation, low‐dimensional phase (LDP) formation, and stability, emphasizing its role in molecular interactions and offering ...

Abnormal field-dependence of magnetocaloric effect in ErB4 and TmB4

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2020
The coupled system of multi-degrees of freedom, such as charge, spin, orbital and lattice, has recently received much attention due to its potential to improve the magnetocaloric effect (MCE).

Over 18% Efficiency from Halogen‐Free Solvent‐Processed Polymer Solar Cells Enabled by Asymmetric Small Molecule Acceptors with Fluoro‐Thienyl Extended Terminal

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An asymmetric non‐fullerene acceptor BTP‐FT is developed by extending the end group of Y6‐BO with thiophene. The conformation of the molecule is determined by the noncovalent F···S interaction as demonstrated by 2D NMR and simulations. An efficiency of 18.39% is achieved in the resulting ternary solar cells processed from toluene.

Electroweak baryogenesis and electron EDM in the TNMSSM

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields
We have studied the impact of CP-violating (CPV) effects on electroweak baryogenesis (EWBG) and the electric dipole moment (EDM) of electron ( $$d_e$$ d e ), the electric dipole moment (EDM) of mercury neutron ( $$d_n$$ d n ) and the electric dipole ...
