The dipole moment and infrared transition strengths of nitric oxide
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1998The electric dipole moment function for NO(X 2Π) is determined by nonlinear least-squares analysis of experimental data, including previously reported (Δv=2)/(Δv=1) transition branching ratios for v′⩽13. Polynomial fits to the dipole moment function are determined over the range of internuclear separation from 0.97 to 1.50 Å.

Origin of transition dipole-moment polarizability and hyperpolarizability in hydrazones
Physical Review B, 2003The origin of transition dipole-moment polarizability and hyperpolarizability in organic materials was investigated using electroabsorption (EA) spectroscopy. It is well established that the following three nonlinear optical properties can be derived from the analysis of EA spectrum; (1) the transition dipole-moment polarizability and ...

Line strengths and transition dipole moment of the nu2 fundamental band of the methyl radical.
Journal of Chemical Physics, 2005The line strengths of nine Q-branch lines in the nu(2) fundamental band of the methyl radical in its ground electronic state have been measured by diode laser absorption spectroscopy.

The transition dipole moment of the ν2 band of the methyl radical
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1983By using a tunable diode laser, the decay of the absorption intensity with time, after the discharge generating the radical was switched off, was measured for a line [Q4(4)] of the CH3 ν2 fundamental band. When combined with a literature value of the CH3 recombination rate constant, the present result gave an estimate for the steady-state concentration

Direct measurement of polarization resolved transition dipole moment in InGaAs/GaAs quantum dots
Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics, 2002Summary from only given. We measure the dipole moment of InGaAs/GaAs self-assembled quantum dots by investigating the propagation of femtosecond light pulses interacting resonantly with the ground to excited state transition.

Magnetic moments and magnetic dipole transitions in deformed nuclei
Journal of Physics A: General Physics, 1969See also preceding abstract. The magnetic moments of the lowest rotational states of even-even nuclei and the probabilities of magnetic dipole transitions between these states are calculated on the basis of the model suggested by Krutov in 1968 the non-axiality of the nuclear equilibrium shape and the difference between the mass and charge ...

Electromagnetic moments and electric dipole transitions in carbon isotopes
Physical Review C, 2003We carry out shell model calculations to study electromagnetic moments and electric dipole transitions of C isotopes. We point out the configuration dependence of the quadrupole and magnetic moments of the odd C isotopes, which will be useful to find out the deformations and the spin parities of the ground states of these nuclei.
