Suppression of transition dipole moments in radioactive atoms [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2017
Optical emission from radioactive atoms is investigated. It is shown that the radioactivity of the central nucleus results in the suppresion of the optical transition dipole moment in the corresponding atom. The situations are regarded when this suppression is significant and can be experimentally observed.

Identification of the Key Parameters for Horizontal Transition Dipole Orientation in Fluorescent and TADF Organic Light‐Emitting Diodes

open access: yesAdvances in Materials, 2021
In organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs), horizontal orientation of the emissive transition dipole moment (TDM) can improve light outcoupling efficiency by up to 50% relative to random orientation. Therefore, there have been extensive efforts to identify

Stacking-tailoring quasiparticle energies and interlayer excitons in bilayer Janus MoSSe

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2021
Stacking sequence of bilayer van der Waals transition metal dichalcogenides determines their electronic and related optical excitations. When the Janus monolayer structure has been taken to construct bilayer TMDs, it would introduce another degree of ...

All-Optical Sensing of the Components of the Internal Local Electric Field in Proteins

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2012
Here, we present a new all-optical method of interrogation of the internal electric field vector inside proteins. The method is based on experimental evaluation of the permanent dipole moment change upon excitation and the pure electronic transition ...

The metastable Q 3Δ2 state of ThO: a new resource for the ACME electron EDM search

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2020
The best upper limit for the electron electric dipole moment was recently set by the ACME collaboration. This experiment measures an electron spin-precession in a cold beam of ThO molecules in their metastable $H\,{(}^{3}{{\rm{\Delta }}}_{1})$ state ...

Branching Ratios, Radiative Lifetimes, and Transition Dipole Moments for YbOH [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Physical Chemistry A, 2020
Medium resolution ($ $ ~ 3 GHz) laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) excitation spectra of a rotationally cold sample of YbOH in the 17300-17950 cm$^{-1}$ range have been recorded using two-dimensional (excitation and dispersed fluorescence) spectroscopy.
