Grating transition radiation: A source of quasimonochromatic radiation [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review E, 1999
We have observed transition radiation at optical wavelengths, emitted by 3-13-MeV electrons interacting with a diffraction grating. Near the direction of specular reflection we observed broadband radiation with the same properties as optical transition radiation from a flat surface.

Lilienfeld Transition Radiation Brought to Light

open access: yes, 2003
Presently, the term transition radiation tends to denote a somewhat different physical phenomenon than the original transition radiation discovered by J. E. Lilienfeld in 1919, and re-employed in different forms again in 1953 and 1971.

Scalar Synchrotron Radiation in the Schwarzschild-anti-de Sitter Geometry [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
We present a complete relativistic analysis for the scalar radiation emitted by a particle in circular orbit around a Schwarzschild-anti-de Sitter black hole.

Spectral Characteristics of Polarization Radiation in the Water Window Range

open access: yesQuantum Beam Science
The high-intensity and monochromatic radiation sources in the water window spectral range are desirable for many applications. One of the potential candidates of soft X-ray sources is polarization radiation produced by a charged particle passing through ...

Test beam studies of the TRD prototype filled with different gas mixtures based on Xe, Kr, and Ar

open access: yes, 2016
Towards the end of LHC Run1, gas leaks were observed in some parts of the Transition Radiation Tracker (TRT) of ATLAS. Due to these leaks, primary Xenon based gas mixture was replaced with Argon based mixture in various parts.

Transition radiation from graphene plasmons by a bunch beam in the terahertz regime.

open access: yesOptics Express, 2017
The terahertz band is an increasingly important spectrum in a wide range of applications from bioimaging and medical diagnostics to security and wireless communications.

Changes in Body Composition in Children and Young People Undergoing Treatment for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Ongoing evidence indicates increased risk of sarcopenic obesity among children and young people (CYP) with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), often beginning early in treatment, persisting into survivorship. This review evaluates current literature on body composition in CYP with ALL during and after treatment.

Observation of coherent transition radiation in the prewave zone

open access: yesPhysical Review Special Topics. Accelerators and Beams, 2012
Transition radiation generated from a relativistic electron beam is used as a tool for diagnostics of the beam. Also, it can be used as a source of femtosecond (fs) THz radiation.

Can transition radiation explain the ANITA event 3985267 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We investigate whether transition radiation from a particle shower crossing the interface between Earth and air and induced by an Earth-skimming neutrino can explain the upward event announced recently by the ANITA Collaboration.

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.
