Liquid CO2 Phase-Transition Rock Fracturing: A Novel Technology for Safe Rock Excavation
In order to determine the applicability of liquid CO2 phase-transition fracturing technology in rock mass excavations, the principles of CO2 phase-transition fracturing were analyzed, and field tests of liquid CO2 phase-transition fracturing were ...

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

The transitional zone and CNS regeneration
Most nerves are attached to the neuraxis by rootlets. The CNS–PNS transitional zone (TZ) is that length of rootlet containing both central and peripheral nervous tissue. The 2 tissues are separated by a very irregular but clearly defined interface, consisting of the surface of the astrocytic tissue comprising the central component of the TZ. Central to

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.

Magma-poor continent–ocean transition zones of the southern North Atlantic: a wide-angle seismic synthesis of a new frontier [PDF]
Magma-poor rifted margins, and their corresponding potential zones of exhumed serpentinized mantle, represent a unique class of tectonic boundaries with enormous promise for advancing the energy transition, such as with hydrogen production and carbon ...

Transit Zones interrogates conceptual and theoretical issues concerning the notion of nomadic transience, where movement, stasis and the peripatetic state converge with time. This photographic based research examines the relationship between the still frame and the moving image and the visual metamorphosis from realism to abstraction in the spatial and
