On groups whose transitively normal subgroups are either normal or self-normalizing
Annali di Matematica Pura ed Applicata, 2012A subgroup \(M\) of a group \(G\) is transitively normal if \(M\) is a normal subgroup of any subgroup \(T\) in which it is subnormal. Soluble T-groups and many locally nilpotent groups belong to the class of groups indicated in the title: The intersection of this class with the classes of hyperfinite groups, locally finite hypofinite groups and ...

Colonic transit time—what is normal?
Journal of Pediatric Surgery, 2004Constipation is a common problem in childhood, and various radiologic methods have been advocated for investigation. Colonic transit time (CTT) has been used in adults to investigate colonic motility, but few studies evaluate this method in children. Data on CTT in the normal paediatric population are scarce. The colonic transit time was measured in 22 ...

The normal menopause transition: an overview
Maturitas, 1996This review emphasizes results from population based studies in order to provide a reliable knowledge base and define major knowledge gaps for future research. The review systematically addresses the following aspects of menopause research: definition of menopause and menopause transitions; age at natural menopause and at inception of perimenopause ...

The Normal Pulmonary Vascular Transition at Birth
Clinics in Perinatology, 1996Although the normal pulmonary vascular transition at birth takes place quickly in the delivery room, it has its basis in the complex structural and biochemical development of the lung. We are only beginning to understand the stimuli that initiate and mediate the transition, as well as their interrelationships.

A diffusionless transition in a normal alkane
Journal of Crystal Growth, 2009Abstract The normal alkanes are an interesting class of material, both in terms of their intrinsic properties and because many biological materials contain hydrocarbon domains. The normal alkanes often exhibit complicated phase behavior, with phase diagrams containing multiple solid phases.

The transition to a new economic normal
Culegere de lucrari stiintifice: Simpozion stiintific al tinerilor cercetatori, vol 1, 2023This work analyze the process of New Normal Economic Transition caused by global crisis. The aim of the project is to determine the impact of the „Ney Noral” on world economy and society. Where analized modern crisis as a Financial Crisis in 2007-2009 and Covid-19 and their tangent with „New Normal”.

“Reprint of” The normal menopause transition
Maturitas, 2008Abstract This paper presents analyses from perhaps the largest and most comprehensive prospective cohort study of mid-aged women — the Massachusetts Women’s Health Study (MWHS) — with numbers sufficient to provide, for the first time, stable estimates of parameters in the normal menopause transition. The three questions addressed in this analysis are

Fine structure of the superconducting-normal and normal-superconducting transition
Physics Letters A, 1991Abstract A non-linear fine structure of the superconducting-normal and normal-superconducting transition has been observed, based on the investigation of the temperature dependence of the ac susceptibility of high- T c superconductors. To detect this, a new research method, the so-called thermometric mapping, has been elaborated.

Oesophageal transit of a radionuclide solid bolus in normals
Clinical Physiology, 1983Summary. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the physiological transit pattern of a compact bolus through the oesophagus in normal subjects. A standard gelatine bolus labelled with 99mTechnetium pertechnetate was swallowed in the erect and the supine positions and traced by a gamma‐camera in 20 subjects.

Physiological variations of normal transit time in children
European Journal of Nuclear Medicine, 1985Quantitation of the 99mTc-diethylenetriaminepentaacetic Acid (DTPA) scan yields by uptake analysis an estimate of individual kidney glomerular filtration rate (IKGFR) and by deconvolutional analysis an estimate of the mean transit time (MTT) of the non-reabsorbable tracer through the kidney.
