On the Transition Reduction Problem for Finite Automata [PDF]
In this paper we apply the concept of common follow sets (CFS) of a regular expression to homogeneous finite state automaton. Based on this concept and using particular binary trees, we devise an efficient algorithm to reduce (minimize) the number of transitions of the automaton recognizing the language L(En) denoted by the regular expression $E_n = (1

This study combines replicated experimental manipulation, social network analysis, network permutations and meta‐analysis to disentangle active from spatially‐induced changes in animal network structure in the wild. It reveals that short‐term environmental changes primarily alter space use, with limited effects on social structure.

We describe an algorithm for compressing a partially ordered set, or \emph{poset}, so that it occupies space matching the information theory lower bound (to within lower order terms), in the worst case.

Transition‐Metal‐Free Catalytic Reduction of Carbon Dioxide [PDF]
AbstractMetal‐free systems, including frustrated Lewis pairs (FLPs) have been shown to bind CO2. By reducing the Lewis acidity and basicity of the ambiphilic system, it is possible to generate active catalysts for the deoxygenative hydroboration of carbon dioxide to methanol derivatives with conversion rates comparable to those of transition‐metal ...

Abstract This paper focuses on pluralistic research designs in management and organization studies. While advocates often present such approaches as a means of reconciling practical relevance with scientific rigour, their philosophical coherence remains underexplored, particularly in relation to the paradigm debates of the 1980s and 1990s. Our analysis

The production‐distribution‐consumption triad has structured how anthropologists understand exchange for roughly a century. This article argues for expanding this triad to include an explicit focus on acquisition – the systems, processes, and practices of acquiring.

Abstract Based on an analysis of the Old Literary Tibetan corpus—a corpus of the oldest documented Tibetic language—the present study provides evidence that literary Tibetan v3 verb stems (commonly termed ‘future’) initially encoded passive voice. New arguments put forward in this article range from Trans‐Himalayan nominal morphology to early Tibetan ...

ABSTRACT Background Elinzanetant, a novel, dual neurokinin‐targeted therapy, has been approved in various geographies for the treatment of moderate‐to‐severe vasomotor symptoms (VMS) associated with menopause. Objective To compare the efficacy of elinzanetant with non‐hormonal pharmaceutical treatments (nHT) in alleviating VMS.

Commerce, coalitions, and global value chains: Coordinated and collective lobbying on trade
Abstract Global value chains (GVCs) have connected firms in complex networks within and across national borders. However, political economy models often assume away production linkages and thus fail to explain pervasive and diverse trade coalitions cutting across industries and firms. I develop a GVC‐centered framework where production linkages through
