A Corpus-Based Transitivity Analysis of Khushwant Singh’s Train to Pakistan

open access: yesUniversity of Chitral Journal of Linguistics and Literature, 2023
Transitivity, a linguistic concept, pertains to the grammatical property of a word in terms of the number of arguments it can take. It holds significance in linguistics by aiding in comprehending sentence structure and the interrelation between word ...

Multinomial subjective logic based extended trust propagation model

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2013
In order to improve the accurateness of trust evaluation and the applicability of subjective logic,a multinomial subjective logic based extended trust propagation model (MSL-ETPM) was presented, which was composed of trust fu-sion and trust transitivity ...

How Crop Forecast Similarity, Government Policies, and Macroeconomic Conditions Affect WASDE Forecast Accuracy

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE) play a central role in how agricultural commodity markets process information about supply, demand, and prices. This study examines how global and domestic shocks, as well as policy interventions, are reflected in the similarity of WASDE ...

Transitivity in coercive subtyping [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Coercive subtyping is a general approach to abbreviation and subtyping in dependent type theories with inductive types. Coherence and admissibility of transitivity are important both for understanding of the framework and for its correct implementation ...

Machine Learning‐Enhanced Random Matrix Theory Design for Human Immunodeficiency Virus Vaccine Development

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
This study integrates random matrix theory (RMT) and principal component analysis (PCA) to improve the identification of correlated regions in HIV protein sequences for vaccine design. PCA validation enhances the reliability of RMT‐derived correlations, particularly in small‐sample, high‐dimensional datasets, enabling more accurate detection of ...

A Robust Deep Temporal Causal Discovery Platform for Single‐Cell Gene Regulatory Network Reconstruction

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
scTIGER2.0 is a deep‐learning framework that infers gene regulatory networks from single‐cell RNA sequencing data. By integrating correlation, pseudotime ordering, deep learning and bootstrap‐based significance testing, it reduces false positives and reveals directional gene interactions.

Opaque Sweetening and Transitivity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
I argue that any plausible decision theory for agents with incomplete preferences which obeys the Never Worse Principle will violate Transitivity. The Never Worse Principle says that, if one option never does worse than another, you shouldn’t disprefer ...

Materials Representation Learning Based on a Material–Motif Network and Heterogeneous Graphs

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
Structure motifs in materials are used to construct a bipartite material–motif network that links each material to its constituent motifs and establishes connectivity among materials sharing common motifs. Network analysis reveals material clusters associated with different functional applications and supports motif‐guided screening of materials.

Low awareness of the transitivity assumption in complex networks of interventions: a systematic survey from 721 network meta-analyses

open access: yesBMC Medicine
Background The transitivity assumption is the cornerstone of network meta-analysis (NMA). Violating transitivity compromises the credibility of the indirect estimates and, by extent, the estimated treatment effects of the comparisons in the network.
