Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

Hypercyclic Behavior of Translation Operators on Spaces of Analytic Functions on Hilbert Spaces
We consider special Hilbert spaces of analytic functions of many infinite variables and examine composition operators on these spaces.

The translation operator. Applications to nonlinear reconstruction operators on nonuniform grids
In this paper, we define a translation operator in a general form to allow for the application of the weighted harmonic mean in different applications. We outline the main steps to follow to define adapted methods using this tool. We give a practical example by improving the behavior of a nonlinear reconstruction operator defined in nonuniform grids ...

Microbiome‐blood–brain barrier interactions in aging — mechanisms and therapeutic potential
Aging reshapes the gut microbiome (↓SCFA‐producing commensals; ↑pro‐inflammatory outputs), shifting circulating metabolites (↓SCFAs; ↑LPS, ↑TMAO, ↑PAA) that act at the BBB to increase nonspecific transcytosis, alter transport, and promote astrocyte reactivity, heightening brain vulnerability.

ON THE STRUCTURE OF 𝐷_𝑊 -APPELL DUNKL CLASSICAL ORTHOGONAL POLYNOMIALS
In this paper, we investigate a class of classical orthogonal polynomials associated with the 𝐷_𝑤-Dunkl operator. This class is defined via a lowering operator that combines the discrete translation operator with a reflection-invariant component.

An epithelial GPR35 isoform supports tumor‐associated transcriptional and metabolic phenotypes
GPR35 generates two functionally distinct isoforms with previously unresolved roles. GPR35‐short mediates immune‐cell chemotaxis, while GPR35‐long is enriched in colorectal cancer epithelium, where it supports increased metabolism, proliferation, and tumor‐associated transcriptional programs.

Spectrum Decomposition of Translation Operators in Periodic Waveguide [PDF]
Scattering problems in periodic waveguides are interesting but also challenging topics in mathematics, both theoretically and numerically. Due to the existence of eigenvalues, the unique solvability of these problems is not always guaranteed. To obtain a unique solution that is "physically meaningful", the limiting absorption principle (LAP) is a ...

Animals must match their growth rate to available nutrients. We show that in Drosophila larvae, the nutrient‐sensing TOR kinase controls growth by regulating levels of TFAM, a key regulator of mitochondrial function, in the adipose tissue. When nutrients are abundant, high TOR activity suppresses TFAM, lowering mitochondrial bioenergetic activity and ...

Extended BMS algebra of celestial CFT
We elaborate on the proposal of flat holography in which four-dimensional physics is encoded in two-dimensional celestial conformal field theory (CCFT). The symmetry underlying CCFT is the extended BMS symmetry of (asymptotically) flat space time.

Liver organoids: modelling complexity in homeostasis and disease
Studying liver in vitro has been challenging because simple 2D cell cultures fail to capture liver's cellular and architectural complexity. To bridge this gap, scientists increasingly use organoids, 3D liver models which better mimic liver composition and function. This review examines recent advances in liver organoid complexity and realism, discusses
