Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Preserving Linguistic and Cultural Diversity in and through Translation: From Theory to Practice

open access: yesMutatis Mutandis, 2010
On one hand this paper offers theoretical reflections on the phenomenon of translation in a postcolonial framework, referring mainly to the Anglophone context, and to India in particular. On the other, it forges concrete links between theory and practice.

The influence of e-portfolio toward the process and the quality of students' translation

open access: yesJournal on English as a Foreign Language, 2018
This study is aimed at gaining an understanding of the influence of e-portfolio on the process and quality of translation (acceptability, accuracy, and readability) of students and how e-portfolio affects the process and quality of student translations.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Evaluating Students' Translation Process in Specialised Translation: Translation Commentary

open access: yesJoSTrans: The Journal of Specialised Translation, 2007
The idea of commented translation, which in teaching has the aim of getting students to justify their translation decisions in writing, is not new; it has been dealt with by Holz-Mänttäri (1984), Neubert (1984) and Gabrian (1986).

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...
