Effect of material, prosthesis height, and aging on the fracture strength of additively and subtractively manufactured implant‐supported cantilevered prostheses

open access: yesJournal of Prosthodontics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose This study aimed to evaluate the inherent and after cyclic loading fracture strength of implant‐supported cantilevered fixed prostheses fabricated from recently introduced additively manufactured (AM) and subtractively manufactured (SM) materials, considering variations in prosthesis height.

Translucent zirconia polycrystals prepared from nanometric powders

open access: yesProcessing and Application of Ceramics, 2015
The aim of the present study was investigation of synthesis and sinterability of nanometric zirconia solid solution powders containing 8mol% and 3mol% of Y2O3. The powders were prepared by the hydrothermal treatment of the co-precipitated gels, which resulted in very fine powders with particle sizes <10 nm.

The effects of material thicknesses and substrates on the translucency and color masking ability of additively manufactured definitive crown materials

open access: yesJournal of Prosthodontics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose To investigate the translucency of the new 3D‐printable materials concerning thickness and the color masking ability of each material against different substrate colors. Materials and Methods Ninety square‐shaped specimens (12.0 mm × 12.0 mm) of two new 3D‐printable materials: ceramic‐infiltrated hybrid resin composite (VS) and light ...
