Investigations on the kinematic accuracy in transmission of involute-tooth gears

Abstract In the cutting process of involute-tooth gears the tooth profile is approximated by a series of separate generated cuts. Due to this fact, kinematic errors present in the generating drive of hobbing machines are not transferred to the cut tooth profile either completely in sequence or size.
