Transmission coefficient of a grid electrode
Fluid Dynamics, 1975The behavior of conducting emulsion drops (carrying a constant charge) in the region between electrodes connected to dc sources is studied. Assuming that the concentration of the dispersed phase is reasonably low, the problem may be reduced to one of determining the motion of an isolated drop close to the electrode.

Transmission coefficients in anharmonic symmetrical potentials
Journal of Mathematical Physics, 1987Barrier transmission in potentials of the type V(x)=Ax2+Bx4 is studied using the phase integral method, the same as the JWKB approximation in lower orders. Elliptic functions are used for the classical solutions. The transmission coefficient is calculated for all signs and values of A and B that give a potential barrier.

Friction and Heat Transmission Coefficients
Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, 1937The work described in the paper was carried out to determine simultaneously the friction and heat transmission coefficients of metal pipes of various cross-sections. A technique has been worked out and apparatus constructed for the simultaneous determination of the friction and heat transmission coefficients of the central portion of a pipe through ...

Computing coupling coefficients in transmission systems
SPIE Proceedings, 1998A numerical method for simulating realistic problems of mode coupling in optical transmission systems is described. The conclusion concerning waveguided propagation of the electromagnetic field in complex structures, selective mode excitation and the power transfer may become an important factor in designing and connecting devices used in optical ...

Transmission coefficients in strongly deformed nuclei
Nuclear Physics A, 1996Abstract By using our semiclassical approach to particle evaporation from deformed nuclei developed earlier, we analyze here the heuristic methods of taking into account the effects of shape deformations on particle emission. These methods are based on the ‘local’ transmission coefficients in which the effective barrier depends on the angle with ...

The Transmission Coefficient of Hydrostatic Drives
2013This paper presents some theoretical considerations regarding the calculus of the transmission coefficient of the pressure energy in hydrostatic mechanisms. After defining all categories of transmission and efficiency coefficients, we present the laws of calculus for various combinations of hydraulic components and formulae of their resultant ...
