Synchronization in networks of mutually delay-coupled phase-locked loops

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2014
Electronic components that perform tasks in a concerted way rely on a common time reference. For instance, parallel computing demands synchronous clocking of multiple cores or processors to reliably carry out joint computations.

Threshold Values of Sleep Spindles Features in Healthy Adults Using Scalp‐EEG and Associations With Sleep Parameters

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Sleep spindles are an electrophysiological fingerprint of the sleeping human brain. They can be described in terms of duration, frequency, amplitude, and density, and vary widely according to age and sex. Spindles play a role in sleep and wake functions and are altered in several neurological and psychiatric disorders.

Congestion Control and Packet Scheduling for Multipath Real Time Video Streaming

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Real time video traffic has stringent delay requirement and is bandwidth demanding when streaming over the internet. Single path transmission may provide unsatisfactory picture quality to users due to packet loss, jitter, and low bandwidth.

Vehicle-to-vehicle cooperative driving model considering end-to-end delay of communication network

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2023
To explore the mechanism of the end-to-end transmission delay of the communication network on the collaborative driving process for traffic flow in the vehicle-to-vehicle communication environment, based on the idea of the car-following model, this paper

Serotonergic and Dopaminergic Function in Neuropsychiatrically Asymptomatic People With HIV on Antiretroviral Therapy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective People with HIV (PWH) on antiretroviral therapy (ART) still experience neurocognitive dysfunction and accelerated brain volume loss. To assess whether the serotonergic and dopaminergic systems are affected, we used [11C]DASB positron emission tomography (PET) to assess presynaptic serotonergic function and [18F]FDOPA PET to measure ...

Joint Rate Selection and Wireless Network Coding for Time Critical Applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
In this paper, we dynamically select the transmission rate and design wireless network coding to improve the quality of services such as delay for time critical applications. With low transmission rate, and hence longer transmission range, more packets may be encoded together, which increases the coding opportunity.

Adaptive Finite Blocklength for Low Access Delay in 6G Wireless Networks [PDF]

open access: yesGLOBECOM 2022 - 2022 IEEE Global Communications Conference
As the number of real-time applications with ultra-low delay requirements quickly grows, massive ultra-reliable and low-latency communication (mURLLC) has been proposed to provide a wide range of delay-sensitive services for the sixth generation (6G) wireless networks.

Activation of SIRT1 Reduces Renal Tubular Epithelial Cells Fibrosis in Hypoxia Through SIRT1‐FoxO1‐FoxO3‐Autophagy Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, EarlyView.
Hypoxia promotes the epithelial‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) of renal tubular epithelial cells via the SIRT1‐FoxO1‐FoxO3‐autophagy pathway, thereby resulting in the fibrosis of renal tubular epithelial cells. Activation of SIRT1 or induction of autophagy inhibits this process, alleviating hypoxia‐induced fibrosis.
