This study presents a 3D representative volume element‐based simulation approach to predict mesoscopic residual stress and strain fields in silicon solid solution‐strengthened ductile cast iron. By modeling phase transformation kinetics with an enhanced Johnson–Mehl–Avrami–Kolmogorov model, the effects of varying cooling rates on residual stresses are ...

Novel low-delay video transmission scheme based on SR-SW-HARQ
To implement low delay video transmission, a novel scheme based on hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) technique was proposed. For three different priority-data based on H.264data partition mode, a combined protocol of selective repeat automatic ...

Stable Throughput and Delay Analysis of a Random Access Network With Queue-Aware Transmission
In this work we consider a two-user and a three-user slotted ALOHA network with multi-packet reception (MPR) capabilities. The nodes can adapt their transmission probabilities and their transmission parameters based on the status of the other nodes. Each

This work reveals the phase composition and quantitative morphology analysis of precipitation‐hardened Fe32Cu12Ni11Ti16Al29 complex‐concentrated alloy. The precipitates are shown to have a high coherency. Morphology transition between sphere, cuboidal, and elongated morphology is observed. Finally, the overaging behavior is captured using microhardness.

Delay guarantee versus throughput in broadcast fading channels [PDF]
We consider a single-antenna broadcast fading channel with n backlogged users. Assuming the transmission is packet-based, we define the delay as the minimum number of channel uses that guarantees all n users successfully receive m packets.

Delay constrained linear transmission of random state measurements [PDF]
Linear transmission of state measurements is studied, where the control center (CC) sends random state measurement requests to multiple sensors. Each sensor is capable of measuring multiple system parameters, and the CC asks for a particular system parameter from each sensor at each time slot. Delay constrained linear transmission of these measurements
