Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Transmission Line Fault Detection and Classification Based on Improved YOLOv8s

open access: yes, 2023
Transmission lines are an important component of the power grid, while complex natural conditions can cause fault and delayed maintenance, which makes it quite important to locate and collect the fault parts efficiently.

From energy provision to protein synthesis: Tunnelling nanotubes as mediators of intercellular metabolic cooperation in cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The cytoskeleton‐mediated transport of mitochondria via tunnelling nanotubes restores respiration, increases ATP production, rescues cells from apoptosis, activates the AKT/mTOR signalling pathway, promotes cell migration and invasiveness, contributes to cancer progression and treatment resistance.

Energized Diagnostic Technology of Cable Cross-Bonded Defects

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
A new type of energized diagnostic technique aimed at defects in the cross-bonded grounding system of power cables is proposed. Based on the equivalent model of a normal cross-bonded grounding unit, the equivalent models of 23 common cross-bonded defects

Experimental analysis and modelling of coaxial transmission lines with soft shield defects [PDF]

open access: yes2015 IEEE International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), 2015
Significant research has focused on the diagnosis of “hard” faults (open and short circuits) in transmission lines, but there has been much less work on “soft” faults resulting from a very small change in line impedance. This research is based on one type of soft fault problems in electrical fault diagnosis; the impacts of partial degradation in the ...

Effectiveness of rTMS on Working Memory and Inhibitory Impairments in Patients With Post‐Stroke Executive Deficits

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Considerable efforts have been dedicated to developing effective treatments for post‐stroke executive impairment (PSEI), among which repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) has shown great potential. This study aimed to investigate the therapeutic effects of high‐frequency rTMS on working memory (WM) and response ...
