State-of-the-art on the protection of FACTS compensated high-voltage transmission lines: a review
In recent years, the inclusion of flexible AC transmission systems (FACTS)-based compensating devices such as a thyristor-controlled series capacitor (TCSC) and a unified power flow controller (UPFC) has been increased in high-voltage power transmission ...

TMC4 localizes to multiple taste cell types in the mouse taste papillae
Transmembrane channel‐like 4 (TMC4), a voltage‐dependent chloride channel, plays a critical role in amiloride‐insensitive salty taste transduction. TMC4 is broadly expressed in all mature taste cell types, suggesting a possible involvement of multiple cell types in this pathway.

We found that during chemotherapy‐induced alopecia (CIA), Sonic hedgehog (Shh) expression significantly decreased in hair follicle Shh+ cells, whereas the Janus‐activated kinase/signal transducer and activator of transcription 1 (JAK/STAT1) signaling pathway was markedly activated.

Given the fact that the installing costs of an optical ground wire on overhead lines directly depend on its cross-section, which in turn depends on the level of fault current it should withstand, in order to reduce these current values in the optical ...

Precise Fault Location on Transmission Lines Using Ensemble Kalman Filter
Accurate pin-pointing of faults on transmission lines minimizes outage time, labor, and costs. This letter proposes a simple yet effective ensemble Kalman filter (EnKF) approach to accurately locating the faults on transmission lines within half-cycle ...

Broadband Butler Matrices with the Use of High-Pass LC Sections as Left-Handed Transmission Lines [PDF]
An application of left-handed transmission line sections in Butler matrices has been investigated. It has been shown, for the first time, that the utilization of both left-handed and right-handed transmission lines allows for broadband differential phase

Raman‐based label‐free microscopic analysis of the pancreas in living zebrafish larvae
Forward stimulated Raman scattering (F‐SRS) and epi coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (E‐CARS) allow label‐free discrimination of distinct subcellular structures in the pancreas of living zebrafish larvae. Given the straightforward applicability, we anticipate broad implementation of Raman microscopy in other organs and across various biomedical ...

AbstractIn EMC, it is essential to understand the concept of transmission lines and when to apply it. Because once a signal interconnection line exceeds a critical length lcritical [m], impedance matching ( $$ \underline {Z}_{source}$$ Z
