Transmission Loss of Partition Walls
IETE Journal of Research, 1965ABSTRACTResults of the measurement on sound insulation of a few partition walls are presented. The sound insulation has been measured in the transmission-reverberation chamber of this Institute. The results are compared with theoretical predictions. A simplified method is adopted to obtain approximate theoretical values of the transmission loss (T.L ...

Transmission Losses in Arid Region
Journal of Hydraulic Engineering, 1990Hydrographs of ephemeral streams in arid and semiarid regions usually decrease significantly in magnitude downstream, unless augmented by tributary flows. This process, termed transmission loss, is important not only in its obvious effect on flow reduction, but also as a source of ground water recharge to underlying alluvial aquifers.

Acoustic transmission loss in turbochargers
2019Internal combustion engines are increasingly being equipped with turbochargers to increase performance and reduce fuel consumption and emissions. Being part of exhaust and intake systems, the turbocharger strongly influences the orifice noise emission.

Waveguide Transmission Cavity with Losses
1966Abstract : The symmetrical-but lossy-waveguide transmission cavity is analyzed with respect to resonant length, minimum and maximum insertion losses, and 3-db frequencies (loaded Q-factor). Losses are considered to originate both in the cavity proper and in the input and output discontinuities.
