The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Design and Testing of a Gasoline Engine Muffler Based on the Principle of Split-Stream Rushing
In order to reduce the exhaust noise, which is the main source of gasoline engine noise, this paper uses on orthogonal test to optimize the parameters of the main structure of split-stream rushing muffler (the perforation rate of the perforated pipe ...

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Electricity spot market with transmission losses
In order to study deregulated electricity spot markets, various models have been proposed. Most of them correspond to a, so-called, multi-leader-follower game in which an Independent System Operator (ISO) plays a central role. Our aim in this paper is to consider quadratic bid functions together with the transmission losses in the multi-leader ...
