Finite Element Analysis on the Steel Transmission Pole

Advanced Materials Research, 2012
At present, the finite element method is used to calculate the strength and deformation of the steel transmission pole less. Using ANSYS to model steel transmission pole, loading, analysis, the results show that, the traditional method of strength calculation and finite element analysis results are very close, the traditional method of deformation ...

RHEED Transmission Mode and RHEED Pole Figure

2013
In the last chapter, we presented the principles of x-ray diffraction and the construction of a pole figure, particularly the pole figure constructed from the diffraction patterns obtained by an area detector. In this chapter, we describe the similarities and differences between reflection high-energy electron diffraction (RHEED) transmission mode and ...

Analysis and design of single-pole transmission structures

Computers & Structures, 1988
Abstract The unguyed single-pole transmission structure is widely used to support transmission lines of up to 345 kV capacity. Most such structures are wood poles, although prestressed concrete poles and tubular steel poles are sometimes used in high decay or high load situations.

Structural Optimization of Transmission Line of Steel Poles

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2012
For the structural optimization of transmission line of steel pipe poles, the structural mass was considered the objective of the economic optimization, the taper of shaft and then the thickness of each wall with the taper of shaft were successively regarded as the design variables, established mathematical modal of transmission line of steel-pipe pole.

Design of Prestressed Concrete Transmission Poles: Optimization Approach

Journal of Structural Engineering, 1996
Design of prestressed concrete transmission poles is formulated as an optimization problem by identifying design variables, a cost function, and constraints. Example problems are solved, and solutions are compared with published results. Several other cases of the examples are solved to investigate the effect of certain parameters on optimum design as ...

Controllable Attenuation Poles in the Coupled ?/4 Transmission-Line Filter

27th European Microwave Conference, 1997, 1997
We propose here a new type of the coupled λ/4 transmission-line bandpass filter. This filter has sharp attenuation poles in both sides of its passband, which is easily produced by attaching metal fins on the input and output ports. The new features of this filter have been derived theoretically by the finite-element method and verified by experiments ...

Ultra selective 22-pole, 10-transmission zero superconducting bandpass filter surpasses 50-pole Chebyshev rejection

2002 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest (Cat. No.02CH37278), 2003
An ultra selective filter for 3G and 4G wireless application is presented. The demonstrated filter consists of twenty-two resonators and five cross couplings that produce ten transmission-zeros. The filter was designed at 1950 MHz center frequency with a 20 MHz bandwidth to meet existing 3G wireless applications.

Lightning Investigation on a Wood Pole Transmission Line

Transactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, 1931
The purpose of this paper is to report the results of an investigation made on a wood pole line. The entire line was originally very highly insulated. The splintering of the structures by lightning indicated that excessively high voltages were appearing quite frequently. Because of the high insulation a cathode ray oscillograph station was installed on

Finite-pole macromodels of transmission lines for circuit simulation

Proceedings of IEEE Custom Integrated Circuits Conference - CICC '93, 2002
A simple method for macromodeling transmission lines for circuit simulation is presented. Finite-pole y-parameter approximations in the frequency domain are derived for these infinite-order interconnects using either the AWE (asymptotic waveform evaluation) technique or closed-form expression for an iterative ladder circuit model.
