Distributed Transmission Power Control for Wireless Sensor Networks
6th Annual Communication Networks and Services Research Conference (cnsr 2008), 2008In wireless networks, transmission power control (TPC) can save energy and decrease transmission latency. Due to the characteristics of wireless sensor networks (WSNs), the TPC has to be distributed, which presents a significant design challenge. We propose a simple distributed approach to TPC in this paper, and evaluate its performance.

Transmission power control using perceptual quality metrics
14th IEEE Proceedings on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications, 2003. PIMRC 2003., 2004In this paper a novel method of controlling transmission power in mobile communication systems is described. Our paper concentrates on the delivery of high quality voice communications as an example of how networks may be controlled to deliver services of a desired quality.

The Impact of Transmission Power Control in Wireless Sensor Networks
2013 IEEE 12th International Symposium on Network Computing and Applications, 2013It is a common belief that reducing transmission power on a sensor can reduce the energy cost on transmission and therefore reduce the overall power consumption in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). This belief has motivated many studies on transmission power control (TPC).

Power control in ARQ transmission with wireless energy replenishment
2017 IEEE 28th Annual International Symposium on Personal, Indoor, and Mobile Radio Communications (PIMRC), 2017In this paper, we focus on fundamental point-to-point wireless transmission with a reverse feedback channel for automatic repeat request (ARQ) and propose wireless energy replenishment (WER) for the transmitter with ACK or NACK signal sent back by the receiver.

Transmission Power Control based on temperature and relative humidity
2014 IEEE Ninth International Conference on Intelligent Sensors, Sensor Networks and Information Processing (ISSNIP), 2014In this paper we present a novel Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) Transmission Power Control (TPC) scheme based on prevailing weather conditions: temperature and relative humidity (TRH). After the analysis of several days worth of experimental data containing received signal strength indicator (RSSI) values, a strong correspondence became evident between ...

Controllers tuning in a power-split continuously variable transmission
2003 European Control Conference (ECC), 2003The problem considered in this paper is the tuning of the control system of a power-split Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) used in high-power tractors. Power-Split CVTs are characterized by the combination of a traditional (discontinuous) mechanical transmission and by a continuously-variable transmission.

Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS) Controller in Power Transmission
2018Secure and reliable operation of the power system is a critical issue for large, complicated, and interconnected power system networks. Security constraints such as thermal limits of transmission lines and bus voltage limits must be satisfied under any operating point in order to deliver reliable power to the consumers.
